about us

Welcome to the SMVM HQ website. Your place to get more information about us get connected to like minded individuals.

SMVM: Who are we?

A well-armed citizenry is the best form of Homeland Security and can better deter disasters, crime, invasion, terrorism, and tyranny.

Our intention is to inform, promote, and facilitate the development and training of the militia. Everyone is welcome, regardless of race, creed, color, tint, or hue, religion (or a lack there of), political affiliation (or a lack there of), provided you do not wish to bring harm to our country or people. If you are a United States citizen (or have declared your intent to become such), who is capable of bearing arms, or supports the right to do so, then you are the militia.

April 5th, 2025

With all the crazy weather and trees coming down, we are going to be doing some education on safe use of tools for managing fallen trees and taking them down safely. We will also be working on shelter building from these materials to get double use out of them.

Training

Watch for Wildcat trainings.

We do a variety of training. We make time for field work, range time, and encouraging our members to come out. Consistency is the key to advancing in your skills to learn.

Field work: This would include learning basic survival skills to more advance ones. Understanding patrol tactics, working on physical health, and getting out to enjoy nature while learning to blend in with it.

Range time: Ah yes, range time. Here is a topic that some view as the fun stuff. We work to find balance with time in the field and time on the range. While everyone should make time to get to the range on a regular basis on their own, we do get together for range days where we are making sure we focus on safety, improving accuracy, and teach people to shoot sooner, not faster.

Concepts: The overall concept of coming out to training is to improve your skills, your health, and overall abilities. Coming out to training is the responsibility of every militia member. Our people who come out on a regular basis have been able to create a strong bond of brotherhood and trust. This only happens through consistent participation.

Communication: The key to a successful organization is our ability to communicate effectively. Concerns and suggestions, ability to make training, or not make training, should be directed to the Executive Officer.

Those who come to training will benefit. "We Do Stuff!"
